They were making bags while they have to carry themn

Children are supposed to carry their bags and go to school to enrich their knowledge and their future has to have a foundation of basic education. But, it is at the same age, seven children were making bags in a factory in Bangalore. They were brought from Kacharva Village, Nepal illegally by a person called Mujhre Alam who is from Balua village and another agent, Iklakh. These agents always look for the most vulnerable children in Nepal to bring into India, since the migration process is less complicated and they are moved far away from their home country. Economically weaker children are their easy targets. They or their parents can be lured easily with money and jobs. But, very rarely they get a decent job with a dececnt pay. Mostly, it is these kind of factory work where they have to work for longer hours for lower wages and not even lower, meagre wages. These children from Nepal have been able to send only Rs.800 per month to Nepal. When factory working conditions are not hygienic and proper even for adults, these children have been forced to work in such conditions and their voices are totally silenced.
When Talaash received information about this child labour issue, Talaash took immediate action. Talaash first confirmed the existence of child labour in the factory, the hours of work the children did, the hygienic conditions etc. It was then that Talaash confirmed the existence of child labour and found that the salary is very meagre, with long worker hours and unhealthy working conditions. Talaash, raided the place along with the help of government officials from Juvenile Justice, Labour Department, Police Department etc and rescued the seven children from the factory.
Talaash then constantly followed up starting from sending the boys safely to shelter homes to arranging their repatriation. Talaash counseled all the boys, listened to their stories, made valid statements, provided group counseling to make them free of the trauma they have undergone and make them aware of their rights. Talaash did also put a lot of effort in finding the home if each child in Nepal and was following up till the children were repatriated. Talaash also arranged their Bonded Release Certificate, travel documents, migration approvals etc. The children were successfully sent back to Nepal safely and now they are free from the labour, they have a chance of pursuing their education.
